Centrair is built on the reclaimed ground over the sea and it is accessible by train in 40 minutes or less from Nagoya Station. However, for me, it is farther than past Nagoya Airport from my house, and it is inconvenient in personal.
In the airport, we can see the compromise between Japanese and Western styles, and there is also a spa in the airport. Not only for the airport but also as a sightseeing spot, it was focused on at first. As they aimed, soon after the airport opened, a lot of neighbors visited there more than tourists.
The appearance of the fusion of Japanese and Western styles makes odd mood but it also looks attractive.

さて、埋立地に開港したセントレアですが、名古屋駅から電車で40分かからずに乗り入れできるのですが、自宅からは名古屋空港よりも遠ざかってしまい、個人的には不便です・・・。

空港の中は和洋折衷の内装になっていて、温泉があったりもします。ただ単なる空港としての設備だけでなく、観光スポットとしても注目を集めてました。開港当初は連日のように観光客が押し寄せ、旅行客の利用人数よりも観光客のほうが人数が多かったみたいです。
確かに温泉を初め、和洋折衷が織り成す空間と空港としての概観はなんというか、異様な雰囲気でありながら、なんとなく、魅力的といえば魅力的にも見えます。
