多忙 & 忙殺 1 |
I'm really busy currently because I'm doing 3 big projects at once.
First one is intern. I went to the office once a week before but now I'm going 3 times a week and doing overtime work everyday. What I'm doing is; project that will release Japanese military DVD with $10,000 budget, making official site of the movie "Haunted Highway", and the sales promotion for other movies.
However, I have to do a lot by myself because of shorhanded condition. When I worked for IBM, there were subcontractors and my role was make the strategy and give it to them as a direction and control the schedule while I'm doing all of them right now. I'm experiencing everything of business from upper to lower such as marketing, sales promotion, visual making, editing movies, and selling on Internet, and so on. This is really hard task but it is worth doing.
Second is executive of film festival. It is a film festival of Japanese movies held in Hollywood from October 20th-26th, called "Chanoma Film Festival".
The trigger was a connection of Intern to take this role. I take charge of shooting TV commercial message and promotion activity.
So I'd like to promote the festival a little. It will show the Grand Prix film at Tokyo International Film Festival "What the Snow Brings", and other 10 feature films. Please go to see it!!

最近、かなり忙しい。というのも、自分の中で大きなプロジェクトを3つほど掛け持ちしているから。
1つはインターン。以前は週1勤務だったのだが、今は週3勤務で、かつほぼ毎日残業をしている。何をやっているかといえば、1万ドルの予算で日本の軍事DVDを販売するというプロジェクトをメインにインターン先が制作した映画「ホーンテッド・ハイウェイ」のホームページの制作、その他の映画の販売促進など。
しかし、人手が足りず、1人でやるべき作業がかなり多い。IBM時代は下請けさんがいて、自分はあくまでも戦略を考え、それを指示するのが役目だったが、今は戦略を考え、さらにそれを自分で実行に移している。マーケティングから販促、さらにはビジュアル制作、映像の編集、ネット上での販売・・・と、おおよそ、ビジネスの上流から下流までをすべて体験できるという意味では、大変ではあるが、非常にやりがいもある。
そして2つ目は映画祭の実行委員会。10月20日から1週間、ハリウッドで行われる日本映画の映画祭で、その名も「チャノマ･フィルム･フェスティバル」。
インターンの人脈から実行委員になることになり、ここでの役割はCM撮影とプロモーション活動。
ってことで、ここで少し宣伝を・・・。東京国際映画祭でグランプリを獲得した「雪に願うこと」をはじめ、綾瀬はるか、長澤まさみといった今をときめく旬な女優の出演作など11作品を上映します。皆さんお誘いのうえ、ぜひお越しください。
