Next place was Kanayama station. There was new shopping center that was so-so.

Final destination was Port of Nagoya. Italy-Village opened that never became even the rumor when I was in Japan. This was interesting. Making use of the place that locating on port, they recreates gondra in Venice, they also recreate one-third size bell tower in Venice and the statue of David in Florence, Mouth of Truth in Rome. And these are all free, I mean we don't need to pay to enter this village. So we can enjoy main sightseeing spots in Italy free (Only Leaning Tower of Pisa and Blue Cave are not there). In scale, it is not so huge, and I think we can enjoy whole the village within a couple of hours. This is first free theme park in Japan. I mean, Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki or Spain Village in Mie or other theme parks requires entrance fee.

If possible, I hope this will keep developping such as Paris-Village (Champs Elysees Avenue, Arch of Triumph, Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Versailles Palace, etc...), London-Village (Big Ben, Backingham Palce, London Tower, Tower Bridge, and so on...).

Mouth of Truth 真実の口

次に訪れたのが金山駅。ここも新しくショッピング・センターのようなものが建てられていたのだが、ここも星ヶ丘テラスほどではないにしろ、それほどのものではなかった。

そして最後に訪れたのが、名古屋港。渡米前には全くもって何の噂も聞いていなかったイタリア村というのができたということで、行ってきた。ここはなかなか面白かった。港という立地条件を生かして、ベニスのゴンドラを再現し、他にもベニスの大鐘楼のレプリカ(3分の1くらいの大きさだろうか？)とフィレンツェのダビデ像のレプリカ、ローマの真実の口、など、入場無料でありながらも、主だったイタリアの観光名所をまわることができる(ないといえばピサの斜塔と青の洞窟くらいだろうか？)。大きさ的にはそこまで大きくなく、2、3時間もいれば十分だが、今までの名古屋にはなかった、日本中を探してみても、ハウステンボスやスペイン村といった入場料金を取るテーマパークを除いた施設としては他に類をみないのではないだろうか？

できれば、今後パリ村(パリのシャンゼリゼ大通り、凱旋門、エッフェル塔、ルーブル美術館、セーヌ川、ベルサイユ宮殿など)、ロンドン村(ビッグベン、バッキンガム宮殿、ロンドン塔、タワーブリッジ、テムズ川など)といった感じで、どんどん拡張していってもらえたら嬉しいと思う。
