The first day, I cooked by myself and serve it to my new room-mate and his brother, who is coming to LA from NY during summer vacation). My original salad, Tofu-salad with fake crab, was well received by them.
There are two room-mates; one is cinema-major and another is photo-major, and both of them go to LACC as I do. I drank with one of them last night talking serious things, I felt we could be open to some extent. He was a really great man while almost all the young students from Japan waste time. It was really substantial time for me.
Range, jar, and dishes are all furnished, and there is also sofa-bed. The only items I need to buy for new room are desk for study and a chest for clothes.
The second year in Los Angeles, I don't know what is waiting, what will happen. I'd like to enjoy whatever waits, whatever happens, even though it is trouble.

新生活1日目は自炊をして、新しいルームメートとそのお兄さん(NYから夏休みを利用して、来ていた)にご馳走しました。豆腐サラダのカニかま添えが評判でした。
ルームメートは2人いて、1人は自分と同じくシネマ専攻、もう1人はフォト専攻で、2人ともLACCの学生で、1人とは昨日一緒に酒を飲みながら、結構深い話をして、それなりに打ち解けた気がします。海外にいても日本人気質(親のすねをかじって、だらだら大学生をやっている、という意味や、出る杭は打て、という風習などなど・・・)の抜けていない学生が多い中、彼はそういった気質は持っておらず、自分と同じ考え方をしているように思いました。非常に充実したお酒の時間でした。
レンジや炊飯器、食器類などはすべてそろっていて、ソファー・ベットもあったため、買い足すものとしては、個人的に使用するパソコンやら授業の予習・復習をするための机、それと衣類を収納するたんす、大きなものはこの2つくらいです。後は机のライトなど、こまごまとしたものですかね？
LA生活2年目、1年経過したとはいえ、どんなことが待っているのか、どんなことが起こるのかはわかりません。とりあえず、どんなことが待っていようと、どんなことが起きようと、たとえそれがトラブルであっても、楽しんでいきたいと思います。
