Lookin back my job hunting, high education is really important. For example, medium and small companies made me pass with only one meeting because of my high level university's name while they usually have several meetings with applicants. On the other hand, almost all large companies first judges from only documents without meeting, and then they have meetings with applicants who passed document check. And in that meeting all most all the applicants were the students who were in famous universities (ofcourse there were some exceptions). After we arrive at meeting, only applicant's ability is important. However, to reach meeting, high education is the most important.
In fact, IBM that I worked for in Japan, employed more than 600 freshmen in the year, but most of them were from famous universities.

As I mentioned above, whichever you are in Japan or USA, the equation "High Education = High Income" can be made up. I think this equation can be true wherever we go within advanced nation (capitalism country). Because capitalism is competition, and high educated people are the people who won the competetions.

This fun English class will end next week, and my last semester in LACC will begin in February!!

さらに自分の就職活動を振り返ってみても、やはり学歴がものをいっていた。例えば、中小企業なら、通常は複数回行う面接も、"名古屋大学"という大学名だけで、一回の面接で採用が決定したし、逆に大企業の場合は、まず書類審査というのがあり、実際の面接になってみると、有名大学の学生しか残っていない(無論、ごく少数の例外はいますが・・・)。面接までたどり着いてしまえば、学歴はあまり重要ではなくなるのだが、面接にたどり着くのに、学歴がものを言うのだ。
実際、日本で就職したIBM(世界一のIT企業)は自分の年は600人以上の新入社員がいたが、そのほとんどが、東大、京大、早稲田、慶應、といった誰もが聞いたことのあるような有名大学出身だった。

というわけで、日本、アメリカ、国が変わっても、高学歴＝高収入という方程式は成り立ちます。自分が思うに、この方程式は先進国(資本主義国)なら、どこの国にいっても成り立つのではないだろうかと思う。というのも資本主義＝競争主義であり、高学歴＝競争に勝ち残った証明であるから。

というわけで、なかなか楽しかった英語の授業も来週で最後。少し寂しい気もしますが、2月からは、いよいよLACC最後の学期がスタートです！！
