Second day shooting was the one that shot double date. The tough thing was location hunting. This movie is set in Japan, so I have to find some locations that looks like Japan. I tried to find such locations searching for all over the Los Angeles, and then I changed some parts of the script in case I couldn't find it. Finally, I could begin the shooting.
Putting such story aside, the 2nd days shooting was done in quite rough style because it was shooting of double date. We went to Karaoke, took "Pricra" that is small photo, and played the game called "Dance Revolution". It was really fun shooting and I hope you can feel this fun through the completed movie.

The shooting schedule are delaying after just 2 days shooting. The reasons are misjudging of the time of movig from a location to another, misreading of the time for makeup, and less experience of the shooting with extras. These three are the large reasons for the delay, and I hope that I'll progress and I feel that I'm progressing now as a director with such mistakes. (I know that troubles actors and staffs.)

そして2日目はWデートのシーンの撮影ということで、かなりラフなスタイルでの撮影となりました。何が苦労したかと言えば、とりあえずはロケーション。舞台が日本ということで、日本っぽく見える場所での撮影をしなければならないという条件を満たすためにロス中を検索し、どうしてもロケーションが見つからないシーンは脚本を一部訂正したりして、何とか撮影にこぎつけました。
そういう経緯はさておき、2日目の撮影は本当にデートをしているカップルをホームビデオ感覚で撮影していった感じです。何せ、カラオケ行ったり、プリクラ撮ったり、ゲーセンで"ダンレボ"したり・・・。実際の撮影現場もすごく楽しく、完成した映像を通して、皆さんにもその楽しさが伝われば・・・と思います。

そして撮影を2日ほど終えたところで、今までにはないくらいに撮影スケジュールが遅れてます(苦笑)。その原因は、ロケーション間の移動時間の見誤りと、メイクにかかる時間の計算ミス、そしてエキストラを使っての撮影に対する経験のなさ。この3つが大きな原因となっていますが、こういったミスを犯しながら(役者さんやスタッフの方には迷惑をかけますが・・・)、監督として一歩ずつ進歩していきたい、そして進歩していると感じている今日この頃です。
