The most impressive thing for me was Ichiro. His eagerness for this event was kind of crazy, isn't it? He is usually quiet and cool person but in this WBC he was really hot! He exposed his emotions!!
For examole, the hopeless night that Japan lost the game against Korea in 2nd group league, he got drunk. Besides, this stament was told by himself. It is impossible to think that he told such things. And he also stated "30 years thing", which brought big argument in every countries. Especially Korea focused on Japan team.
Is this from the pressure of Japanese National Flag?
He also asked one question to "O" coach who also the world famous baseball player with the world record of the home-run; "Have you ever thought that batting is easy?" This is the statement of the man who changed a lot of record in MLB.
When I heard this statement, I felt that Ichiro still tries to improve his skill. Frankly, I'm not a huge baseball fan but I'm a fan of Ichiro. And through this WBC, Ichiro's status inside of me again goes up!!
