The guy, Owen, was not good at first game and he couldn't also show good performance today. But careful looking, he took good positions in critical moments if mid-fielder could pass to him, he got some goals. If England's mid-fielders can give passes to Owen who is in critical position, they can be the favorite as same as Brazil. The time Owen restore is the time England will be the favorite.
Another player who was expected to come back was Rooney came back to the pitch but he was not good, too. Both Owen and Rooney recover their own conditions, no one can predict how strong England will be.

そのオーウェン。初戦は今ひとつで、今日もこれといったプレーはしていなかったが、注意深く見ていると、要所要所でのポジション取りは、本調子のそれに近く、パスさえ通ればゴールしていたシーンが複数あった。おそらくイングランドの中盤が決定的ポジションに入ったオーウェンにパスを入れることができれば、ブラジルと並ぶ、優勝候補にもなりえるだろう。オーウェン復活の時＝イングランドが優勝候補筆頭になる時だと言える。

もう1人、復活が待たれていたルーニーも復帰したものの、彼も今ひとつの出来だった。オーウェンとルーニーの二人が本調子になった時、イングランドがどこまで強くなるのか？非常に楽しみだ。
