Argentina substituted Riquelme and Crespo to make their defense strong from the middle of 2nd half with the score 1-0. On the other hand, German Coach Klinsmann threw Odonkor to keep the balance of both sides because German attack was biased to left side Lahm. Then, German won in the meaning of "command of coaches".
And the confrontation of "control tower" between Riquelme and Ballack was also won by Ballack. Riquelme was substited on the way, and he couldn't create goal chance except the corner kick that linked to the goal while Ballack created some chances including assist for the tie-goal.
However, including Ballack, German easy miss in mid-field and defense area were too much and those should be revised modified to win the championship.

Just before PK began, there was a touching moment that bench warmer of goal keeper Kahn who was the MVP in last World Cup talked to Lehman.

By the way, I couldn't find Maradona today who became the normal person in stand...

"監督の采配対決"という意味では、アルゼンチン側は1-0となった後半途中からリケルメを変え、クレスポまでも変えて(二人とも本調子ではなかったきらいもある)、守備堅めに入った。逆にドイツのクリンスマン監督は左サイドからのラームの攻撃に偏っていたところに、右サイドのバランスを保つためにオドンコーを出場させて、両サイドからバランス良く攻撃するようにする。そういった意味ではドイツの勝ちだった。
そして注目されていたリケルメとバラックの"司令塔対決"という意味では、リケルメが途中交代してしまった上に、得点となったコーナー・キックを除くとチャンスらしいチャンスを演出できなかったリケルメに対し、同点ゴールのお膳立てを含めて、何度もチャンスを作り出したバラックの完勝といっていいだろう。

しかし、バラック自身も含めて、中盤あるいは自陣ゴール前でのパス・ミスを含めたイージー・ミスがあまりにも多すぎて、自ら流れを壊してしまった点は今後、修正していかないと優勝は難しいかもしれない。

(PK戦に入る直前、今回は控えとなってしまった前回大会のMVPであり、今回は控えGKとなったカーンがレーマンに話をしているシーンはちょっと、こみ上げるものがあった。)

そういえば、今日は客席で一般人と化したマラドーナを見ることがなかったな・・・。
