Watching today's game, I thought that Germany won semi-final if Frings were on the game and today's match-up was Italy vs Portugal while final match-up would be Germany vs France.
The reason I thought that was because German defense changed widely in case Frings was on or off the ground. Accurately saying, regarding to only defense, there was no difference between today's game and semi-final against Italy that Ballack focused on defense. The important thing is whether Ballack focuses on offense or not.
If Frings was on the game against Italy, Ballack could focus on offense and Germany could get a goal with high possibility. In this point, the absent of Frings in semi-final was huge problem for Germany.

And the most important thing today was Kahn. I shouted "Wow!" in my heart everytime TV captured him; warming-up, national anthem in unison. Even though he was taken 1 goal, he stopped the situation keeper only vs forward and he stopped various shots that was into goal if he didn't touch. I was delighted when Kahn stroke a victory pose after Scheweinsteiger decided 1st goal.
Today's game including the way of TV camera's capturing, the reaction of supporters taught me again how great Kahn was.

今日の試合を見ていて思った。準決勝のイタリア戦にフリンクスが出場していれば、イタリアに勝って、今日の対戦はイタリアvsポルトガル、そして明日の決勝がドイツvsフランスになっていたのでは・・・と。
というのも、フリンクスがいるのと、いないのとでは守備に関して大きく変わってくる。正確にいえば、守備だけに関して言えば、バラックが守備に回ったイタリア戦と今日の守備陣を比べても遜色はない。が、問題はバラックが守備をするかどうか？だ。
もしイタリア戦にフリンクスが出場していれば、バラックが攻撃に集中でき、ドイツが得点を奪う可能性がもっと高かったはずだ。そういう意味で、フリンクスの欠場は痛かった。

そしてなんといっても、カーン。ウォーム･アップの時、そして国歌斉唱の時、カーンがTVに映るたびに心の中で"おぉ！"と叫んでいた。試合中、1点決められはしたものの、FWとの1対1を止めたり、触っていなければ入っていたシュートを何本も止め、チームを救っていた。そしてシュバインシュタイガーが先制点を決め、ゴール前でガッツ･ポーズを決めているカーンが映った時、わけもわからず嬉しくなった。
TVカメラの映し方といい、観客の反応といい、カーンという選手が偉大な選手であることを改めて、思い知らされた試合でもありました。
