2006年最後のパーティー |
This year was a year that I could expand various connections at various places after I graduated from school. As a final of the year, I went to a party last night.
I had heard that the place was a big house, however, that was bigger than my expectation; the swimming pool was lit up, there was a billiard table and two massage chairs, I could also find a bar in the house, and there was also patio at the middle floor. It was just like a dream house that we could see only in the movie.
Foods and drinks were also great. Especially, an alcohol called "BAILEYS", tastes like a kahlua milk, was so good! It was the one of the best alcohol drink I've drunk ever since I came to USA.
Besides, there were a fortune-teller and a psychic, and other guests were actresses, a doctor, and someone from publishing industry. It was so-called a meeting of celebrities.
To tell the truth, I think I couldn't get into the party becuase of nervousness. However, after two-and-half years staying made me change, then I could get into it and I could get new connections
I really appreciate for Ms.T & Mr.D to invite me to the party.
What kind year will it be next year? My goal might be making a connection leading to Spielberg?

今年1年、学校を卒業して以降、急速にいろんなところで、いろんな形でコネクションが広がっていった年でしたが、その締めくくりとして、昨夜、あるパーティーに行ってきました。
周りの人から、パーティー会場は豪邸だという話は聞いていましたが、想像以上の大豪邸で、プールはライトアップされているわ、ビリヤード台もあるわ、マッサージ・チェアもおいてあるわ(しかも2台!!)、バーもあるわ、中二階にパテオもあるわ、といった感じで、映画の中でしか見たことのないアメリカの豪邸に初めて足を踏み入れました。
出される料理・ドリンクも、どれもおいしいものばかりで、中でも自分が気に入ったのが、BAILEYSというカルーア・ミルクのようなアルコール飲料。渡米以来、最高レベルのお酒でした。
他にも占い師が来ていたり、他のゲストも女優さんだったり、お医者さんだったり、出版関係の人だったり・・・といった感じでいわゆるセレブな集まりでした。
正直、渡米直後の自分であれば、緊張してしまって、話をすることもできないまま、外から見ているだけだったと思いますが、渡米後2年半が経ち、度胸がついたというか、肝が据わったというか、いずれにせよ、いろんな人と話をすることができ、新たにいろいろなコネクションを作ることができました。
パーティーに招待してくれたTさん、Dさんに感謝です！！
来年はどんな1年になることやら？とりあえず、目標はスピルバーグまで届くコネクションを作ることか(笑)？
