Shooting in Kimono |

着物撮影 |
Last weekend, there was a shooting. It had photo session, shooting for web and TV commercial shooting. Even though it was really tight schedule, shooting itself was so fun.
The theme of photo session was "Walking America with Kimono as casual". It was quite original Kimono, which is short and fit with boots. We brought US national flag to make it look America. I think we could express totally new feeling.
Also we shot a lot of footage for TV commercial. It was originally only for 1 pattern but we finally had the footage for 4 patterns.
I think it was really tough shooting for actors because there were two directors.
Then I noticed one thing.
In the meaning that I, myself, handle a camera, I might prefer photo shooting to movie shooting.
Photo = "Clip of a Moment"
while Movie = "Clip of a Period"
Both "moment" and "period" remain in one's mind. However, "moment" is stronger as a image.
With wonderful Kimonos, I could enjoy the shooting of "Clip of a Moment".

先週末は1年ぶりの撮影。しかも写真撮影、Web用TV撮影、そしてTVCM撮影の3つを同時に行うというかなりタイトなスケジュール。とはいえ、やはり撮影は楽しいもの。
"着物を普段着として、アメリカを歩く"というテーマでの写真撮影。丈を短くしてブーツに合わせるという斬新な着物。 そこにアメリカを感じるってことで、星条旗を持ってきたりして、今までにない新しい感覚を作り出せたんじゃないかと思います。
しかも、撮影が進むにつれて考えていたアイデア以外にも どんどんアイデアがあふれ出して、CMに関しては1本撮影するだけの予定が4パターンのCMを作れるだけのフッテージを撮影。
しかも監督が2人もいるから役者さんは大変だったでしょう。
でもって、気づいたこと。
あくまでも、自分がカメラを回すという意味でだが、動画の撮影よりも写真撮影のほうが好きかもしれないということ。
写真＝"瞬間の切り抜き"に対し、
動画＝"時間の切り抜き"。
瞬間、時間ともに脳裏に残るものではあるが、イメージとしては、瞬間の方が強く感じるからだろうか？
着物での撮影ということもあり、特に"瞬間の切り抜き"をとても楽しんだ撮影でした。
