Both Japanese and American media pick up it as top news, TOYOTA recall problem.
TOYOTA and Japan want to solve this problem as soon as possible because of world economic depression while USA want to drag this out longer to let US automobile industry comeback. I'm focusing so much on it how both countries handle this problem.

There were a lot of factors and it became close to 10 million recalls, this time. The number of 10 million is like a number that each person owns 2 or 3 cars if it's a small country.

Some of my friends and relatives work for Toyota group and I, myself, also built system for TOYOTA. So it's not somebody else's matter and I check this news everyday.
Recall problem itself caused deaths and there is no doubt that TOYOTA owe everything to this. However, it is also true that there should be conspiracy theory of US that is in common consensus.

It is told that more than 100 billion yens will be required for this recall, which is also the enormous number. It's the amount that normal company will go to bankruptcy very easily. That's TOYOTA who prepare such huge amount of money.

By the way, the movie "AVATAR" acrossed "TITANIC" with 200 billion yens and became top box office all over the world in history. It might be more than 250 billion with current pace.
It's been a while since everybody calls "depression", however there are certain amount of money where they should have like TOYOTA's 100 billion and AVATAR's 200 billions...

連日、日本でもアメリカでもTOPニュースとして扱われているTOYOTAリコール問題。
世界的大不況の影響もあり、この問題を早急に解決したいTOYOTA＋日本(TOYOTAがこけると下請けを含め、日本産業に与える影響は甚大なため)と、この問題を長引かせ、自国の自動車産業を盛り返したいアメリカ。両者の思惑が今後どうなっていくのか、個人的にはすごく注目している。

いくつかの問題が次々に絡まり、トータルで1000万台近いリコールになってしまった今回の問題。1000万台という数字、小さい国なら1人に2台、3台という膨大な数字である。

友人や親戚などにもTOYOTAグループ関係者が何人もいるし、自分自身も過去にTOYOTAのシステム構築していたということもあって、今回のことは他人事ではなく、毎日ニュースをチェックしている。
リコール問題自体は、死者も出ているし、TOYOTAの責任なのは間違いないが、一部でささやかれているアメリカの陰謀説っていうのも間違いないだろう。

でもってこのリコールの対応にかかる費用が1000億円以上という、これまた膨大な数字。普通の会社なら即座に倒産してしまうような金額である。そんな金額をすぐに用意できてしまうTOYOTAはさすがと言うべきか？

話は変わるが、映画「アバター」の全世界興行収入が「タイタニック」を抜き、歴代1位になった。その額2000億円。このままのペースでいけば2500億円くらいまで行くかもしれない。
不況と言われて久しいが、TOYOTAの1000億円と言い、アバターの2000億円と言い、世の中、あるところにはあるものですね・・・。
