Last weekend of April, I went to Las Vegas taking my job off with a friend who will go back to Japan forever.
As an effect of the TV program of travel, we decided to visit Antelope Canyon in sudden. That is the final hidden scenic spot for me where I can drive from Los Angeles because I visited most of the sightseeing spots.
The first time I knew this place was from PV of Briteny Spears. I stopped by the town called Page where 10 minutes drive from Antelope in 1998 but I didn't know this place because there is nothing written on guide book at that time.

It was more than I expected. We left LA at 12:30am and arrived there after 11-hour drive. So we were really tired but this place awoke us completely.
Being exposed to a shower of lights, I had some holy feelings and daily fatigue went and refreshed my body.

After we visited Horseshoe Bend where Colorado River made sheer cliff, got back to Las Vegas. Arriving at the hotel at 11:30pm and soon went to the bed.

Seeing the show of Elvis Presley by CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, which has an happening that the show broke off for a while because of fire alarm, finding cheap but super delicious sushi a bit far from main street, drinking 16 soft drinks at Coca Cola Store, seeing the original of the song "My Way" by Frank Sinatora; it was really fun for me to visit Las Vegas where I visited more than 10 times and it was the first time for me to visit Las Vegas without gambling ever.

4月最後の週末、友人が永久帰国するということもあり、仕事を休んで2泊4日の旅に出た。
直前に見た「世界弾丸トラベラー」という番組の影響で、急遽アンテロープ・キャニオンに行くことに・・・。ロスから車で普通に行ける範囲では最後の秘境とでも言うべき場所で、実際、その他の主な観光地は行き尽くしていたこともあり、個人的には本当に最後の秘境だった。

最初にこの場所を知ったのはブリトニー・スピアーズのPVだった。1998年にグランド・サークルを周った時に、車で10分ほどのところにあるPageの町で昼食を取ったのだが、その時はまだガイドブックにも載っておらず、その存在を知らなかった。

初めて訪れたこの場所。予想以上に素晴らしい場所だった。24時半にロスを出発して、11時間のドライブの果てにたどり着いたこともあり、とても疲れていたのだが、一気に目が覚めた。
岩の間から差し込む光を浴びて、神聖な気分になると共に、仕事の疲れも吹き飛んだ。

その後、ホースシューベンドというコロラド川が削った断崖絶壁を訪れた後、ラスベガスへ向かい、ホテルに到着したのは23時をまわっていた。当然のように即座にベッドに入り、バタンキュー。

完成したばかりのシティー・センターで、あまりにも年齢層の高い客層の中で、シルクドソレイユとエルビス・プレスリーのコラボ・ショーを見たり(途中火災報知器がなり、一時中断となった・・・、ある意味非常に貴重な体験)、中心から外れた場所にある食べ放題の寿司屋がめちゃくちゃ安くて美味しいことを発見したり、コカ・コーラのショップで世界各地の16種類のドリンクを飲んだり(イタリアのBeverlyは激マズ)、フランク・シナトラのMy Wayの楽譜を見たり、もう10回以上訪れたラスベガスだが、久々に新鮮な気持ちで楽しむことができたと同時に初めてギャンブルをしなかったベガス滞在でした。
