撮影風景 1 〜事前準備〜 |
I did shooting for short film on last weekend, which was assignment of school. We were given only the theme "CHASE" and there were no restrictions. I wrote story boards, did location-hunting based on the story boards, arranged actors, prepared for items, shot within limited budget, and I will add digital effects and sound effects after shooting, which is the assignment we can experience the mainstream of film making except advertising and promotion.
First of all, relating to story boards, I had two ideas, and I adopted the story which enthusiastic fan will chase the singer and kill him. (The other story is about tourists who was stolen their bags and follow thief, which is ordinal, I think...) I had no trouble in drawing pictures but I had a difficulty in writing human, therefore I draw pictures using features of Dragon Ball's character.
Next, about location-hunting, I wander around downtown Los Angeles one week before shooting, and expanded images with the function of recording movies in digital camera. Regarding arrangement of actors, I asked my friends in Riverside because I need extra in the scene of live concert. Items which requires to shoot, were knife, ketchup, color cellophane, guitar, and sunglasses, and I bought at 99 cents-shop and I ordered actors to bring items in advance.

先週末、学校の宿題である短編映画の撮影を行いました。"チェース”というテーマで、2〜4分の短編映画を撮るということ以外は何の制限もないので、自分でストーリー・ボード(絵コンテ)を書いて、それを元に自分のイメージに合う撮影現場のロケハンをして、役者の手配をして、必要な小道具などを購入したりして、限られた予算内で撮影をして、そして撮影後にデジタル・エフェクトを追加したり、サウンド・エフェクトを加えたりといった編集をするということで、広告・宣伝を除く、映画制作の大きな流れを一通り経験できるという課題です。
まずはストーリー･ボードですが、これは自分の中で二案浮かんだのですが、人とは違うものをやりたいということで、熱狂的なファンが歌手を追いかけて、殺してしまうというストーリーを採用しました(ちなみにもう一案は観光客が泥棒に鞄を盗られて、それを追いかけるというありきたり？(だと自分は思った)のストーリーでした)。絵を描くのは小さい頃から、漫画を書いていたこともあって、それほど苦ではなかったのですが、人間を描くのが難しく、書きなれた「ドラゴンボール」のキャラクターの特徴を活かした絵にしました。
次にロケハンですが、撮影の1週間前にロスのダウンタウンを歩き回って、デジカメの動画撮影機能で、カメラ・テストのようなつもりで事前にイメージを膨らませておきました。役者の手配は、コンサート・シーンの撮影にエキストラが必要だったこともあり、リバーサイドの友達に依頼しました。撮影に必要な小道具は包丁、ケチャップ、カラー・セロファン、ギター、サングラスなどがありましたが、99セント・ショップで購入したり、俳優さんに必要なものを依頼するなどして、事前にそろえておきました。
