Finally, it comes to morals. The program showed the image of the rescue activity to save the man who was flown in the river hanging the rope from the bridge. He grasped the rope and resuce people pulled up but he fell down to the river just before he reached the bridge. That happened at the moment. An anchorwoman laughed looking at this scene!! It was so close to lose my temper. I never imagined the piece of the thinking "What the hell, this bitch laugh!?" at all (<= this is a lie), however, I doubted what she was.
There were two other anchors, one of them was a older anchorman in his 50's and another was an anchor woman in her 30's. It was impressive that his face drew up at her laughing. I think this is not typical for all the anchorwomen but I was surprised at her appearance on the program in the next day without any apology. This implys that company and audience didn't mention it.

I have mentioned the differences between Japan and USA about anchorwoman. When it comes to anchorman, it is almost same. They are both more than 40 in their age and putting on suits.

そして最後に倫理観。先日、ストームの影響で川に流された人を救助するために橋からロープを垂らして、助けようとしていた映像が流れた時のことでした。ロープをつかんだので、それを引き上げて、あと少しのところでその人が再び川へ落下してしまったシーンで、ある女性アナウンサーが笑ったのです。これは正直、切れそうでした。「あぁ!?何笑ってんだ!!この女!!!」などということは頭の片隅にすら、思い浮かべませんでしたが(←嘘)、何を考えているのだろう？とそのアナウンサーの人格を疑いました。
他にも二人(一人は50代後半の男性、もう一人は30代の女性)、そのスタジオにいたのですが、男性アナウンサーの顔が笑いの瞬間にゆがんだのがとても印象的でした。これは女性アナウンサー全員が全員そうではないのでしょうが、その女性アナウンサーが謝罪も何もせずに翌日も何ごともなかったかのように、ブラウン管に映っていたのには驚きました。これはテレビ局がそれを指摘しなかった＋視聴者も特に何もいわなかったということですから・・・。

というわけで、日本とアメリカの女性アナウンサーの違いを述べてきましたが、男性アナウンサーについては日本もアメリカも大差ありません。メインを張る男性アナウンサーは日米共に40代以上の男性で、大半はスーツを着て、ニュースを伝えています。
