Do you like a dog?

Yesterday, one dog passed away. First, I heard it I couldn't feel it real.When I first met him, he was just a puppy. Since then, I've known the dog for more than 10 years. It might be the time to die. To tell the truth, I didn't care him so much, however, I felt as if I lost a piece of my life. At the moment I got the news, I never felt sorrow, sadness, and regret. As time went on, the feelings captured me gradually, and as soon as I accepted the "DEATH", tears flowed down my cheek.

I want to say thank you for giving me good time for 10 years and I wish he will rest in peace.

昨日、ある犬がこの世を去りました。最初それを聞いたときは実感がわきませんでした。初めてその犬を見たときは、まだ子犬でした。それ以来、その犬とは10年以上の付き合いになります。死期といえば、そうなのかもしれないけど・・・、正直、特にめちゃくちゃ可愛がってたというわけでもないけど・・・、なんだか自分の人生の一部が失われたような気持ちになりました。その知らせを聞いた直後は、悲しいとか、淋しいとか、そういう感覚はなかったけど、時間が経つにつれて、だんだんとその感覚が自分の体を捕らえていって、ようやく"死"というものを受け入れたと思った瞬間、自分のほほを涙が伝っていました。

―――その犬は我が家のペットでした―――

10年間、素敵な思い出をありがとう、そして安らかに眠ってください。
