The date I never forget
Tha day I set my foot in USA with dream and fear
One year is about to pass since then
We met in the pick-up bus at Los Angeles Airport at first. During two hours on the way to Riverside, there were 3 Koreans and 1 Japanese.
One of them became my class mate in UPP, which is the class to prepare for entering university. She was grown in HongKong and her English skill was oustanding in UPP. The person, I talked in the bus at first, was also her. She is in New York as a university student.
Soon after I arrived at UCR(University of California Riverside), hostfamily welcomed me and we went to their house. I managed classes on weekday, and traveled fullfilled with "trust, achievement, and adventure" on every weekend. During these trips, we drunk every night, we talked all night long, I sang the joy of youth in my middle 20s.

忘れもしない日
夢と不安を抱えて、アメリカの大地に足を下ろした日
あれからもう1年が経とうとしている
最初に出会ったのはロサンゼルス空港での出迎えバスの中だった。リバーサイドまでの約2時間の道程、一緒になったのは3人の韓国人と1人の日本人だった。
その内の一人はUPPという大学進学準備プログラムでクラスメイトになった。彼女は香港育ちでUPPの中でも抜群の英語力だった。バスの中で最初に言葉を交わしたのも彼女だった。彼女は今、ニューヨークで四大生として頑張っている。
そしてたどり着いたUCR(University of California Riverside)でホストファミリーに迎えられ、すぐにホストの家へと向かった。そこを拠点にUCRでの毎日の授業をこなし、週末は毎週のように、友人たちと"信頼と実績と冒険"に満ちた旅行に出かけていた。その旅先では毎晩のように酒を飲んだり、特にこれといった意味のない話で盛り上がったり・・・、20代半ばにして再び"青春"を謳歌していた。
