waiting time 待ち時間

Other pavilions, Germany I expected most, was 200 minutes waiting, and the TOYOTA pavilion which is the most famous and popular pavilion finishes distribution of the ticket at 9:30am nevertheless EXPO opens at 9am.
I have to go to EXPO at least two times because I want to enjoy other pavilions.(Ofcourse at the time that entrance fee becomes half-price)

By the way, there were a lot of troubles before this EXPO began. First, there was a problem of the destruction of the nature nonetheless the theme of the EXPO is "Nature Wisdom". This means the Kaisho-no-mori, which is the forest in Seto-city that was the main site of the EXPO in a plan. In the plan, Kaisho-no-mori was the only place that hold the EXPO, however, it was devided into two places, Kaisho-no-mori was sub-site, and Nagakute became main site.

Another element was Chubu-Shin-Kokusai-kuko(Chubu New Airport). It had been supposed to be opened according to the opening of EXPO, and the beginning of the construction was delayed because of environment problems. However, it was opened on time and it is now one of the famous tourist attraction. It sounds strange that airport is the tourist attraction but there is a hot spring, so it can be tourist attraction.

Egypt Pavilion エジプト館

France/Germany Pavilion フランス・ドイツ館

それ以外のパビリオンに関しては、自分が一番楽しみにしていたドイツ館が"200分"待ち、この万博の一番人気のトヨタ館はどうやら毎朝9時半には、整理券がなくなってしまっているらしい(会場時間は9時)。
とりあえず、まだ見たいものがあるので、あと2回は行くことになるだろう(もちろん半額の時間帯に・・・)。

さて、今回の万博開催までにいろいろな問題が発生しました。一番の問題は"自然の叡智"を謳い文句にしながら、自然を破壊するのか？という問題です。これは当初万博会場になるはずだった瀬戸市、海上の森のことです。当初の予定ではこの森のみでの開催だったのですが、最終的には会場を二つに分け、海上の森はサブ会場として、長久手メイン会場と共存することになりました。

そしてもう一つの不安要素だったのが、中部新国際空港。万博開幕にあわせて、開港の予定だったのが、こちらも環境問題などで大幅に建築開始予定が遅れましたが、きちんと予定通りに開港し、今では名古屋の観光名所のひとつになっているようです(空港が観光名所というのも変な話ですが、空港内に温泉があったりするので、それもありなのか？とも思います)。
