Corporate Pavilion 企業パビリオン

Regarding 21st century, I heard robots in TOYOTA Pavilion are so great. There are robots such as trumpet performance robot with artificial lips, walking robot with two legs, and automobile for one person-ride. There are also various vehicles. Including low-pollution car, electric automobile, and linear motor car. I could feel "21st century" all over the site.

On the other hand, this EXPO aims "environmental exposition". I found so many trash bins. There were 10 bins each place at first. As I approached bins I found they were 10 bins for 10 types of garbages.
We can see the consideration for environment when we see the usage of reusable dishes which can be resolved into soils after usage,
Besides, ferro-concrete is not used so much. The main route "Global Loop" is made with wooden floor, which means thinking about aftercare. And heat from the ground is lower than concrete floor, which might have some effects on global warming?

Whatever, staying at Japan, EXPO opening, I want to enjoy "Nature Wisdom,"

Linear Motor car station リニモ駅

21世紀ということで言えば、トヨタ館のロボットたちはすごいらしい。人口唇を持つラッパ演奏ロボット、二足歩行型ロボット、そして一人乗り自動車。そして会場で見られる多種多様な乗り物たち。低公害車をはじめ、電動自転車、会場アクセスのリニアモーターカーなどなど。会場のいたるところで、"21世紀"を感じることができた。

それと同時に"環境博"を謳っているだけあって、会場内のゴミ箱はすごかった。1箇所に10箱くらいあり、これだけの人がいるのだから、これだけあっても・・・と思って近づくと、10種類の分別ゴミ用に10箱用意されていたのだ！
そして会場内のレストランでは再利用可能、かつ分解されて植物の肥料となる食器が使われていて、環境に配慮されていることが実感できる。
さらに、会場内の建物も極力鉄筋は使われていない。会場内のメインルートとなるグローバル・ループは木材で作られた床になっていて、閉幕後のことも考えられているといえる。さらにコンクリートに比べて反射熱が少ないため、地球温暖化に対しても、少なからず効果を発揮しているのかも知れない(笑)？

何はともあれ、せっかくの日本滞在、せっかくの万博開催、ということで、またこの"自然の叡智"を満喫したいと思います。
