Japanese high school students who are in the 3rd grade, must study not only 1 subject but 5 subjects; Japanese, English, mathmatics, social studies, and science(because most Japanese universities request all 5 subjects for entance exam). Besides, we have to face with another trobles. For example, in science section, we must choose 2 out of 4; physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science. In social science, we also have to choose 2 out of 4; Japanese history, world history, politics, and civics. And more even in Japanese language, we had 3 kinds of subjects, modern Japanese, Japanese classics, and Chinese classics, which are all quite different languages. It's just like we are studying three foreign languages (English is always same language whenever it is).
Every weekend we went to cram school besides normal school, and we took practice exam every month. Now I wonder why we studied so hard?
Who else study so many subjects at one time within one year all over the world?
I think NO-ONE do it!!
I was one of them, but 9 years have past since then, my brain seems to be degenerate.
