さすが役者 |
Yesterday, it was the day of "Academy Awards" while I was editing my film in my room. Ofcource I did it watching "Academy" on TV.
The film now I'm trying is "DEATH GAME" part 2 featuring Japanese university students. This time, the script is based on my own experiences, which reminds me of my school days while I'm trying on editing and even on writing.
However, most of actors didn't experience "Japanese university-life". They came to USA soon after graduation from high school or they graduated from a high school in foreign countries.
Nonetheless, they are great in terms of showing their performances as Japanese students.

昨日、アカデミー賞発表当日、自分はいつも通り、部屋にこもって、編集してました。もちろんアカデミー賞はTVで見ながら・・・の話ですが・・・。
今、編集しているのは「DEATH GAME」の第二部で、今回は日本の大学生が主役の話です。今回の脚本は、自分の経験談的要素がたくさん入っていることもあり、編集しながら(というか、脚本を書いてる段階から・・・)、自分の学生時代を思い出したりしている。
しかしながら、今回の役者さんの多くは"日本の大学生"というものを経験していない。高校卒業してすぐこっちに来たりとか、高校から海外だったりとか・・・。
そんな条件下でも、日本の大学生っぽい演技をみせるのは、さすが役者というべきだろうか？
