By the way, this is the first WBC in history, therefore there were a lot of troubles, especially in management of the event. For example, there was a fear that Cuban players might not get a permission of entering into USA right before the opening of WBC. Is it impossible to divide sports event from politics. In soccer, there was such case: ex-Yugoslavia national team couldn't join in the World Cup USA 1994 because of the sanction from UN, actually UN prohibited Yugoslavia from any kind of international games for 2 years.
Next, I was surprised at the fact that even host country USA doesn't broadcast in national TV channel, I mean free-channel not pay-channel. What's this situation? I wondered if USA is serious of this event or not. There are big battle and huge money movement to get the rights to broadcast World Cup Soccer. In fact, during World Cup more than 50 billions people in toal watch the games all over the world, it means all the person on the earth watch nearly ten times.
And one more thing, there was another suggestion about the season. They suggested to held it on November that is after-season not on March that is pre-season.
