LACC 卒業式 2 |
Johnny Grant came to make a speach as a guest speaker, who is the honorary mayor of Hollywood, and he made us laugh so much. Beside of him, Cindy Williams who is also alumna of LACC and famous actress also came to the commencement.
LACC is well-known for theater-major and cinema-major, and I don't know this is the reason why the honor-roll theater graduate make a speech as a representative of all other students. It was a great speech to prove that he is a theater-major student.
There was no showy hat-throw as we can see in the movie or TV drama while quite few students did it. I heard that this action is banned in a law, is this true? If you know the trurh, please let me know.
Anyway, I completed the 2nd and final college life in my life. To tell you the truth, I had no feeling about graduation approaching graduation ceremony while I had sentimental feeling when I graduated from Nagoya University in Japan and I also felt the hope for the future. But this commencement made me remember the life at LACC little bit.
Then, new American life will begin from this day!!

ゲスト・スピーカーとしてハリウッドの名誉市長であるジョニー・グラントが来て、会場を爆笑の渦に巻き込んでました。さらにLACCの卒業生で女優のシンディー・ウィリアムスも来てました。
LACCはTheater専攻と映画専攻では知名度が高いためかどうかはわかりませんが、卒業生代表のスピーチも成績優秀者のTheater専攻の学生が行い、さすがTheater専攻といった感じの情熱的なスピーチをしてました。
映画やドラマで見るような、期待していたような派手な帽子投げはなく、ごく一部の人だけが帽子を投げるに留まりました。聞くところによると、帽子投げが法律で禁止されたらしいですが、誰かこの審議を知っている人がいたら、教えてください。
何はともあれ、これで生涯2度目、そしておそらく生涯最後の大学生活も終わりです。卒業間近になっても、正直なところ、名大卒業時に感じた大学生活に対する感慨深いもの、あるいは将来に対する希望のようなものは特に何もありませんでしたが、この卒業式で少しだけ大学生活を懐かしく思えました。
そして今日から、新しいアメリカ生活のスタートです！！
