The special feature of the 5th day was not France that Zidane returned as his final performance nor South Korea that Asian No.1 player Park Ji Sung leads but Brazil vs Croatia that is really important for Japan's fortune.
Whoever may say whatever, Brazil vs Croatia is the one.

No.1 player in name and reality Ronaldinho and Ronald who is just 3 goal behind historical record in World Cup gathered attention. But the player who decided the game was KAKA. He belongs to AC Milan in Italy. He is still 24 y/o but he already has 38 caps and 13 goals.
He is not so famous in Japan because there are too many famous players in Brazil but if he were in Japan, he is more famous than Nakamura and Nakata.
Brazil consists of such players, so they are strong but I though it is difficult that Brazil would win the championship as far as judging from today's game.
Game's Highlight (Brazil vs Croatia)

Croatia overwhelmed Brazil totally from the beginning of 2nd half till the middle of 2nd half. Croatia created critical chances pointing the back-space of the both side-backs.
But it was great that Brazil didn't lose any goal. Brazilian Coach told "it was satisfying thinking about 7 games till the final." Therefore they might perform with their 60 or 70%. Thinking so, it is really difficult to win at Brazil and it is really questionable to beat Croatia who had heated with Brazil equally.
I think if Japan can't win next game vs Croatia, it is the end of Japan's World Cup.

大会5日目の目玉は、現役引退が決まった最後のステージとなるジダンが復帰したフランスでもなく、現役アジア人プレーヤーの中ではアジアNo.1のパク・チソンの韓国でもなく、日本の決勝トーナメント進出を占う上で重要なブラジルvsクロアチアです。
誰がなんと言おうとブラジルvsクロアチアです。

名実ともに世界No.1のロナウジーニョ、あるいは大会歴代得点記録に後3点と迫った(過食気味の)ロナウドなどに注目が集まったこの試合。試合を決めたのはカカだった。イタリアのACミランに所属するこの選手。まだ24歳だが、すでにブラジル代表として38試合に出場し、13ゴール決めている。
ビッグ･ネームが多すぎて、日本ではそれほど注目されてはいないが、日本代表にカカがいるとすれば、中村、中田以上に注目されている選手だ。
そんな選手ばかりが集まっているブラジルだから、強いのだが、今日の試合を見る限りでは優勝するのはちょっと難しいと思える内容だった。
試合のハイライト (ブラジル vs クロアチア)

というのは後半開始から後半中盤あたりまでクロアチアに好き放題に攻められていたから。以前から指摘されていた"両サイドバックの上がりすぎ"を見事に狙われて、何度か決定機を作られていた。
とはいえ、点を与えなかったのはさすがブラジル。監督も「決勝までの7試合を見据えた戦い方としては満足」というコメントを出しているので、今日のブラジルが6割、7割の出来だったとも言える。そう考えると、そんなブラジルに日本が勝つのは非常に困難な上、そのブラジルと互角以上に渡り合ったクロアチアにすら勝てるかどうか疑問符がつく。
いずれにせよ、クロアチア戦は勝利以外は日本のW杯が終わると考えて間違いないだろう。
