I'd like to introduce remarkable players of this World Cup in 3 times.
Mentioning remarkable players means that players who will be the MVP or whose name will be rememberd in future. For example in past; "God" Pele、"King" Maradona、"Emperor" Beckenbauer、2 "Generals" of France, Platini & Zidane,"Last Moster in 20th century" Ronaldo、and the MVP player in last World Cup Oliver Kahn.

First is Ronaldinho, which means little "Ronaldo". In Brazil, there is already Ronaldo who already became the best striker in the world, so he got this nick-name. However, he already left Ronaldo behind, and he also became the best player in name and real. He was selected as FIFA World Player of the Year which was voted by the national team's coach in 2004 and 2005. He was also chosen for best player in Europe "Ballon d'or" in 2005, which was chosen by the soccer journalists in European 52 countries.

The basic skil of soccer, there is "lifting" that keeps kicking the ball without touching the ground. There are a lot of players who are good at this lifting. They can do it make the ball stay on the head, or they can hold the ball with toe and shin, the better players even can do lifting with their shoulders. Howeverm he, Ronaldinho, is in another world. He can do the lifting near the penalty line and he shoot the ball pointing the goal bar 4 times in successive without drop the ball over the ground. He is the only one who can do this both in past and future.
Represented in this technique, he is the technician. He likes the tricks called as "Elastico" that is the faint with only ankle, no-look pass, and heel pass. He prefer the techniques that will deceive enemy, so he was once called as magician. Anyway, his play style is drawing the line between him and the others.

The one reason that everybody insist Brazil is the most favorite team in this World Cup is on his existence. Uniform number "10" player of Brazil must be the player who is acknowledged by world. It was on Pele, Zico, and Rivaldo.
Ronaldinho is the player who get focused on a lot of expectations just like that Brazil wins the championship.

1人目はロナウジーニョ。"小さなロナウド"という意味の名前のこの男。ブラジル代表ではすでに世界一のストライカーの名を手にしていたロナウドがいたため、この名前になったらしいが、その彼もいまや本家のロナウドを追い抜き、名実ともに世界最高の選手となった。2004年、2005年と連続でFIFA選出の世界最優秀選手(FIFA加盟各国の代表監督による投票)に選ばれ、2005年には欧州最優秀選手(バロン・ドール：ヨーロッパ52カ国のサッカージャーナリストの投票)も同時に獲得している。
サッカーの基本テクニックの1つにリフティングというのがあります。足だけで、ボールを地面に落とさずにボールを蹴り続ける技術です。このリフティングの上手い選手は数多くいます。頭に乗せたり、足の甲とすねでボールをはさんだり、上手い選手になると肩でリフティングしたりします。しかしこのロナウジーニョは桁が違う。ペナルティー・ライン付近からリフティングをして、そのリフティングの最中にボールを一度も落とす事なく4連続でゴールポストに命中させている。こんなことができる男は後にも先にもこの男だけあろう。
この妙技に代表されるように、彼のプレー・スタイルはテクニシャン。足首だけを使ったフェイント「エラシコ」、ノールック・パス、ヒール・パスといった相手をだますような意表をついたプレーが多く、一時期は"魔術師"なんてニック･ネームがついたくらい、他のサッカー選手とは一線を隔した次元のサッカーをする。

今大会誰もがブラジルを優勝候補最有力にあげる理由の一因はこの男の存在が大きい。ブラジルの10番といえば、世界の誰もが認めるサッカー選手でなければ背負えない。ペレに始まり、ジーコ、リバウドと受け継がれてきた背番号を担った、この男。
ブラジルのW杯優勝と同じくらい、いやそれ以上の期待と注目を背負っているのがこのロナウジーニョです。
