Yesterday, I wrote that this time there was no upset but today, DAY 9, suprise happened!!
Czech Rupublic, whose FIFA ranking is 2nd, lost against African team, Ghana with the score 2-0. The content of the game was not for Czech but it was almost tie.
Game's Highlight (Czech Republic vs Ghana)
It was really important that Ghana got a goal in 2 minutes from the game beginning. After that, Ghana kept attacking and 1st half finished. Then, at the beginning of the 2nd half, One Czech player commited a foul in penalty area, which made him foul-out and also gave Ghana a penalty kick. But Ghanaian kick hit the goal post and Czech was saved.

After this penalty kick, Czech took advantage over Ghana for 1 goal behind even though they lacked one player because of foul-out. Ghana intended this, they did counter-attack and they controled the mid-field. Finally, Ghana goaled at 37th minutes in 2nd half. Then game was over.

I couldn't see the strength of Czech that beated USA. Or was Ghana stronger than that? Anyway, Czech is in trouble. If they miss winning against Italy, it'll be really hard to go to final stage.

昨日、今大会は波乱がないと書きましたが、9日目にして、波乱が起きました!!
FIFAランキング2位のチェコがアフリカのガーナに2-0で敗退しました。試合内容もチェコが押しまくっていたというわけではなく、両者五分五分といった感じの内容での敗退。
試合のハイライト (チェコ vs ガーナ)
前半開始2分でガーナが得点を入れたことが大きかった。その後もガーナが攻勢を続ける。そのまま前半終了。そして後半開始早々、チェコの選手がペナルティー・エリア内で痛恨のレッド･カード。選手が1人少なくなっただけでなく、PKも与えてしまう。しかし、このPKはゴールポストに当たり、救われる。

その後、1人少なくなったチェコが1点を追い、攻勢になるが、それを狙っていたかのようにガーナはカウンター・アタックを繰り返し、面白いように中盤でパスをまわし、後半37分に追加点(シュートの前のプレイがオフサイドっぽかったけど・・・)をあげ、そのまま試合終了。

アメリカを下した時のチェコの強さはまったく見えなかった。それともガーナがそれ以上に強かっただけなのか？いずれにせよ、チェコは次のイタリア戦に勝たないと決勝トーナメント進出が難しくなるという状況に追い込まれてしまった！！
