Final stage best 16 DAY4. First game was between Brazil, 1st place in Group F, vs Ghana, 2nd place in Group E.
Brazil won in 3-0 with "the presence of champion". They didn't give so many chances to Ghana. It was the game just like 2nd half of Japan vs Brazil, but Ghana was not so terrible as Japan.
Game's Highlight (Brazil vs Ghana)

Ronaldo who got the 1st goal of this game broke the record of all-time FIFA World Cup goals "14" by Muller, which was not broken for more than 30 years. His goal-record counts 15th from World Cup 98.
But Muller's record was scored in 2 tournaments while Ronaldo made it in 3 tournaments, which will be extended more... Both of these are great records but there is greater one than these. Just Fontaine who was in France national team, scored 13 goals in one tournament!!

By the way, today's Brazil did a good job as if they seemed to cut corners in group league. Besides, they didn't seem to do their best. Maybe, they had some energy in store considering the way to final.
There is no other team that can do this except Brazil. This is also the reason that Brazil is the absolute favorite of champion in this World Cup.
And they didn't do their best not only as a team but as a person. Especially, Ronaldinho is the one. He didn't show good performance so far as a 2-year successive FIFA World Players of the Year. When the team who made this Brazil serious will appear?

決勝トーナメント1回戦4日目。第1試合はF組1位のブラジルとE組2位のガーナ。
ブラジルが"王者の貫禄"を見せ、3-0の快勝となったこの試合。相手に与えたチャンスは数えるほどしかなく、日本vsブラジルの後半戦のような展開だった。(といっても日本ほどひどくはなかったが・・・)
試合のハイライト (ブラジル vs ガーナ)

この試合で先制点を決めたロナウドは、98年大会から数えて15ゴール目となり、30年以上破られていなかったドイツの"爆撃機"ミュラーが持つW杯通算得点記録14を塗り替えた。
とはいえ、ミュラーは2大会で14得点、ロナウドは3大会での記録(まだまだ伸びるだろうが・・・)。どちらもすごい記録であることは間違いないが、上には上がいる。ジュスト・フォンテーヌというフランスの選手が1大会で13得点という記録を作ったのだ!!

さて、今日のブラジルだが、グループ･リーグは手を抜いていたのか？とさえ思えるほどの内容。しかも今日の試合も全力でやっているようには見えなかった。おそらく決勝戦までの道のりを考えた上で力を温存しているのだろう。
が、そんなことができるチームは他にない。このあたりもブラジルが絶対的優勝候補と呼ばれる所以だろう。
そして、チームとして全力でないだけでなく、選手1人1人もそのように見える。特にロナウジーニョ。2年連続FIFA世界最優秀選手としてのプレーがまだぜんぜん見えない。このブラジルを本気にさせるチームが現れるのはいつになるのだろか？
