2nd game is between Italy and Ukraine. This game is told that Italy has advantage but as long as watching the matches of both countries in best 16, I had good impression on Ukraine especially about ball possesion. They had enough stamina to keep pressing for 90 minutes and Shevchenko who knows Italian player because he play in Italian soccer league Serie A, has higher possiblity to get a goal than other countries.

3rd game is England vs Portugal whose record in past is tie with 1-win to 1-loss. In Euro 2004, they also met in quater-final and Portugal won after the penalty-kick battle. Then Portugal is better than England so far judging from the content of the games so far. However, England is more superior only for this game because Portugal has to be lack 2 players Deco and Costinha.

And 4th game is Brazil vs France that is the same matching with the final in 1998. Compared to France that missed generation change and key players became elder such as Zidane who will quit his career after this tournament, Brazil could success in generation change and they can beat France as a revenge of 1998 and they'll go to best 4.
In my opinion, I'd like France to do their best to bring out Brazil's true power. I want to see how much potential power Brazil has.
The most interesting thing in this game is how serious Brazil can be.

第2試合はイタリアvsウクライナ。この試合は戦力的にはイタリアが有利だと言われているが、ベスト16の戦いを見る限り、ウクライナの方が試合運びに関しては、うまい印象を受けた。90分間プレスをかけ続けるだけのスタミナを持ち、イタリアのセリエAでプレーし、イタリアの選手をよく知るエース、シェフチェンコなら、イタリアの"カテナチオ"を破る可能性も他チームに比べて高い。

第3試合はイングランドvsポルトガルは過去1勝1敗。2年前の欧州選手権でも準々決勝で対戦し、ポルトガルがPK勝ちした。そして今大会、ここまでの内容では、ポルトガルの方が優勢だが、16枚のイエローカードが乱発した対オランダ戦でデコ、コスティーニャが出場停止となり、この試合だけに関して言えば、イングランドが有利だろうか？

そして第4試合はブラジルvsフランスという1998年大会決勝の再現。世代交代に失敗し、今大会限りで引退するジダンら主力が高齢化しているフランスに比べ、世代交代のうまくいったブラジルは98年の雪辱を晴らし、準決勝に行く可能性が高い。
個人的にはとにかくフランスに頑張ってもらって、ブラジルを本気にさせてほしい。ブラジルがどこまでのポテンシャルを秘めているのか？それを見てみたい。
ブラジルがどこまで本気の戦いをするか？それがこの試合の一番の見所です。

P.S. 今日、なぜかソーテルの飲み屋で吉田栄作を見かけました。スタッフらしき人たちと一緒に飲んでました。 そして、やっぱり白いTシャツにジーンズという昔のドラマ、そのままの格好でした・・・。
