This time, I'd like to mention some other remarkable players a little.
Germany left side-defender Lahm showed great performances so far; he was great in both offense and defense. He couldn't split Italy degense as he had done but his side-attack was better and his defense was brilliant today. He showed incredible work despite of his small body and he shut off Italy offense.

And Shcneider was also good. He showed a piece of his talent as he had done. He didn't show remarkable play but he supplied critical pass. But regarding today, it was regrettable that he missed critical chance. If he shot it into goal frame, Klose or Podolski could push it into the goal...

By the way, there was a curious moment. That was the scene that wounded player was stretched his leg by opponent. Usually, this never happens. In worst case, he can get twisted, so this scene was really curious.

As a result, all my favorite teams lost (although there will be 3rd place match...), I'd like to enjoy soccer purely the rest 3 games.

今回は、いつもはスペースの関係上触れなかった、注目選手についても少し触れておきたい。
ドイツの左サイドバックのラームはこれまでの試合は攻めて良し、守って良しのラームだったが、イタリアDF陣相手に今までのように切り崩すことはできなかったものの、それでもサイドからの攻撃に関しては合格点だったし、それ以上に今日は守備で光った。こんなに小さな体で、よくぞ！といった働きを見せ、イタリアのシュート･チャンスをことごとくつぶしていた。
そしてもう1人、途中交代してしまったものの、シュナイダーもいぶし銀の働きをしていた。これまでの試合もそうだったが、これといった目立った活躍はしないが、ゴールにつながる決定的なパスを供給していた。しかし今日に関しては、前半の決定機を外してしまったのが悔やまれる。せめて枠に入れておけば、跳ね返りをポドルスキかクローゼが押し込んでいた可能性が高かっただけに・・・。

Curious Moment 珍しい光景

さて、試合中珍しい光景があった。倒れた選手の足を敵の選手が伸ばすというシーン。普通、敵チームの選手に足を触らせるなど考えられない。場合によっては、足をひねられたりすることも考えられるだけに、この光景はすごく妙なシーンだった。

そして試合が終わった後のドイツ選手の目に浮かんだ涙・・・。自分もすごく悔しいものがこみ上げてきましたが、控えに回ってしまい、一時は不満をぶちまけていたカーンが他の選手を慰めているのを見て、自分も慰められました。

これで自分が応援するチームがすべて消えてしまった(3位決定戦がありますが･･･)。残り3試合。ここからは純粋にサッカーというスポーツを楽しみたいと思います。
