The game was controled by Portugal with 7 to 3 but in the meaning of threatening goal, it was tie or France took adavantage with 6 to 4. Portugal threatened France goal a couple of times with C.Ronaldo's dribble or his post-play but France overturned it at the last moemnt.

However, today's C.Ronaldo was so great. He is still 21 but he was absolute MVP of Portugal today. But Thuram who got the Man of the Match, blocked him every time. He organized France defense well and he led France to the final.

試合そのものは7:3くらいでポルトガルが押していたが、ゴールを脅かしたという意味では五分五分、あるいは6:4でフランスだった。ポルトガルはC.ロナウドのドリブル突破、あるいはポスト・プレーから何度も惜しいところまで行くのだが、最後の最後で、フランスの壁に跳ね返されてしまった。
