There was one more hero in France, Henry. He was substitued on the way in overtime. I can't help but doubting this substitution. It happened right after the beginning of 2nd half of overtime. they should leave him considering penalty shootout, besides, why they changed the only one player who broke through Italian defense a couple of times by himself?

Henry was the center of French offense even though he was surrounded by 2 or 3 Italian defenders. When he ran through 3 Italian defenders, everybody who knows soccer must think "he is the No.1 forward in the world!!".
He was in the bench the moment they won championship in 1998, so it was really bitter for him that he experienced same thing this time. Besides, it was too heavy that he experienced loss after their hero sent off.

そしてフランスのもう1人の英雄アンリ。延長戦途中で交替してしまったが、この交替には疑問を抱かずにはいられない。延長後半開始直後の交替だったが、PK戦のことを考えれば、残しておくべきだったはずだし、そもそもイタリアDFをたった1人で複数回突破した今大会唯一の選手をなぜに外したのか？

時には2人、そして時には3人のイタリアDF陣に囲まれながらも、フランスの攻めの基点となっていたアンリ。イタリアのDF3人を抜いた時には、"この男が世界No.1FWだ!!"とサッカーを知る人間なら誰もが思ったのではないだろうか？
98年優勝時はベンチで、その瞬間を見ていただけに、今大会も試合終了の瞬間をベンチで迎えるのはつらかったことだろう。まして母国の英雄ジダンが退場した後の敗北の瞬間となると、それはすごくつらいだろう。
