World Cup ended after 1 month, and MVP was announced today. It was Zidane!! He received MVP of this tournament.
The vote was closed on the ending of the 1st half till last World Cup, and it was not sure that MVP was chosen from the champion team. So this time, the rule was changed till the end of the day of final, nevertheless, Zidane got the MVP. Yesterday's head-but,it'll be discussed for a long time, didn't affect on the voter of MVP.

In my opinion, I thought that MVP was chosen from Italy that held only 2 goal with own-goal and PK. There was no specific offense player in Italy and goal keeper Buffon didn't show superplay as Kahn did it in last time. Thinking oppositely, we should praise Italian defense that didn't create such critical moments. According to this way of thinking, Cannavaro was worth MVP, I thought. However, Zidane was the MVP.
It can be said that this was the World Cup for Zidane in both good and bad ways. This might be the zest of soccer that can be unpredictable.

1ヶ月に及んだW杯が終わり、今日大会MVPが発表されました。なんとジダン！が今大会MVP受賞者となりました。
前大会までは決勝戦の前半終了時点で投票が締め切られ、必ずしも優勝チームから選ばれるというわけではなかったため、今大会から決勝戦の行われた日の24時締め切りとルールを変えたにも関わらずの受賞ということで、長いこと議論を呼びそうな昨日の頭突きも、MVP選考委員の人にはそこまでの影響もなかったようです。

自分としては大会を通じて、オウン･ゴールとPKだけの2失点に抑えたイタリアから選ばれるだろうと思っていた。攻撃陣はいまいちパッとした選手がおらず、GKのブッフォンは前大会のカーンのようなチームを救うスーパー･プレーを連発したわけでもなかった。逆に考えれば、そこまでの危ない場面を作らなかったDF陣を誉めるべきであって、そう考えるとカンナバーロが妥当だろう・・・と、思っていたらジダンの受賞。
よくも悪くもジダンの大会だったと言えるかもしれない。これこそ、"何が起こるかわからない"サッカーの醍醐味と言えるかもしれない。
