I enjoyed Halloween for the first time after 3 years have passed since I came to USA. I went to Halloween Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, which began this year. They close park at 6pm once, then they re-open at 7pm changing themselves as a scary theme park. We walked around till 2am.

There were usual attractions but most of them were changed into Halloween version. Smoke was burned all over the park, lights were limited to minimum, and Jasons with a chain saw were found all around.
For example, "Water World" became "Slaughter World", which contents might be prohibited in Japan because of adult content.
And featured attraction was walking tour over the tram tour site. The areas we could walk around were the sets of "Psycho" and "War of the World". Ofcourse, there were a lot of zombies and Jasons to surpise us.

Personally, I could enjoy. It seems to be large scale Japanse fun house.

でもって、渡米3年目にして、初めてハロウィンというものを楽しんできた。ユニバーサル・スタジオで今年から始まったハロウィン・ナイトに行ってきた。18時に一端、通常営業を止めて、19時からテーマパーク全体がお化け屋敷と化して、再オープン！26時まで園内を歩き回った。

通常のアトラクションもいくつかあるが、大半はハロウィン用に衣替えされ、園内のいたるところでスモークがたかれ、照明も最小限に抑えられ、チェーン・ソーを持ったジェイソンやらが通行人を脅かすといった状況。
例えば、「ウォーター･ワールド」は「スローター･ワールド(殺戮ワールドという意味)」と名を変え、日本でやったら、客が引いてしまうような内容(アダルトな意味で・・・)のショーになっていた。
そして目玉は通常はトラムに乗ってしかいけない、トラム･ツアーの一部を歩けるというもの。歩けるのは、「サイコ」のセットと「宇宙戦争」のセット。もちろん、ゾンビやらジェイソンがいたるところにいて、驚かせてくれます。

個人的には日本のお化け屋敷をスケール･アップした感じで、なかなか楽しめました。
