Difference No.6 =Downtown=

Chicago and LA, both of them are the representative large cities of US, but downtowns are quite different. You know from the photos but it is quite different on point that Chicago faces water. Also buildings differ as mentioned above. Besides all, the difference of size is really huge.
Compared with small downtown of LA, the one of Chicago has much skyscrapers, much public transportations. If we compare only downtown, Chicago is larger than LA.

Difference No.7 =Race=

LA has much Mexicans while Chicago has much Caucasians. Especially the number of Poles are big. Chicago follows the capital, Warsaw in number.
Korea town in LA is also follows the capital, Seoul and it is the second largest city in the world. In that point, it can be said that both cities has similarity.

違い その6 〜ダウンタウン〜

シカゴ、LA共に全米を代表する大都市であるが、そのダウンタウンは大きく違う。写真を見てもらえば分かるかもしれないが、まず水に面しているという点で大きく違う。そして上述したように建物の作りが違う。そして何よりも、その大きさが違う。
LAの小さなダウンタウンに比べると、シカゴのそれは摩天楼発祥の地というだけあって、高層ビルの数、公共交通機関の種類とその路線数、共にLAとは段違いに多い。ダウンタウンだけを比べれば圧倒的にシカゴの方が大都市である。

違い その7 〜人種〜

LAが圧倒的にメキシコ人が多いのに対し、シカゴは圧倒的に白人が多い。中でもポーランド人の数は異常らしい。首都ワルシャワよりも人口が多いらしいのだ。
LAのコリアタウンも首都ソウルに次いで、世界第2位の韓国人街なので、その点においては似ているかもしれないが・・・。

といった感じで2つの都市の違いを並べて見ましたが、いかがでしたでしょうか？
