Last Friday made me feel the importance of electric products.

Electric products I always use are i Pod, speaker to use this i Pod in my car and cell phone.
It was a miracle day that all the batteries of these products ran out at the same time.

Besides, my car's battery also ran out and I called AAA and they charged the battery. However, it didn't work anymore after the parking. So I recalled AAA but they request guarantee form to replace the battery. I asked them to re-charge the battery and went my home to pick the one up.
On the way home, car stopped again on the center lane of total 4 lanes during rush hour, which made a big traffic jam. There was one hope because one police car parked opposite lane by chance and they helped me using warning flare.

Then AAA, third time that day, towed my car to my house. I found a form and called AAA 4th time but they didn't accept battery replacement after 7pm. So it was next day that my car got fixed.

After the first call to AAA, my cell went out of power and couldn't receive any call to confirm their arrival to the location. I tried to listen to the music while waiting for AAA but speaker's battery went out and I bought the one at the nearest supermarket, then i Pod ran out of power.
When it came to such situation, it was just like a comedy.
I felt some kind of impressions that everything stopped at the same time, and also it told me how inconvenient to live with no-electric products. It's just like a personal blackout.

先週金曜は電気製品の重要さを思い知らされる1日となりました。

普段自分が毎日使っている電気製品というと、音楽プレーヤーのi Pod、それを車の中で聴くためのスピーカー、そして携帯電話。
これらすぺてのバッテリーが同じ日になくなるという奇跡的な1日になりました。

そしてさらに車のバッテリーの充電が切れて車が動かなくなり、日本で言うところのJAFに相当するAAAを呼んで充電してもらった。しかし、停車後にエンジンを入れても動かなくなり、再度AAAを呼ぶ。がしかし保証書がないと無料交換はできないと言われ、再度充電だけしてもらい、保証書を取りに帰宅した。
しかしその途中で再び車が停車。片道2車線の計4車線の中央車線での出来事で、しかもラッシュアワーだったため、大渋滞を引き起こしてしまった。しかし不幸中の幸いで、停車したその反対車線にたまたまパトカーが止まっており、助けを求め、発炎筒を焚いてもらうことになった。

そして3度目のAAAに牽引されて、自宅に到着。保証書を見つけ、4度目のAAAへの電話をかけるが、バッテリー交換は夜7時までしか受け付けていないため、結局直ったのは翌土曜となりました。

車のバッテリーが切れてから、AAAに電話をした直後に携帯の充電が切れ、到着したかどうかの確認の電話がかかってきても受信できない。AAAを待っている間に音楽を聴こうとしたがスピーカーの充電が切れていたので、仕方なしに近くにあったスーパーで乾電池を購入。すると今度はプレーヤー本体の充電が切れる。
ここまで来るとコントである。
こんなにうまいことすべてが止まってしまう日というのもあるものだと違う意味で感心してしまった。それと同時に電気製品のない生活というのが非常に不便なものだということも痛感したパーソナルな停電日でした。
