This was also the story while I was in Japan for 2 weeks.
I visited restaurant where I worked for when I was a university student. I ordered the lost menu "Ome-Gra" which is gratinated ome-rice after the negotiation with the manager.
It was so delicious!!
Then he gave me display samples as souvenirs for friends in US. One of my friends is surprised incredibly and he liked it so much!
Two of my co-workers at that restaurant went to Gujou to visit sample craft factory. They bought one shrimp tempura and gave me cabbage they made. Also they passed me eatable chili oil. When I put all of these with the bottle of Coke, they look real.
I can't eat with such combination though...
I'd like to display the one of soft ice creams in my room.
Whatever, Japanese traditional craft is wonderful!!
