There are various anniversaries such as some years annniversary or some decades anniversary.
I went to 25th anniversary screening of one movie. The movie was my first time Hollywood movie that I saw at the movie theater in my life (Actually it was the part 3...), BACK TO THE FUTURE. There are only 2 shows today and Monday.
Claudia Wells who played the role of Jennifer in part 1 attended the screening and the movie began with huge applause. All the elements such as image, story and gag didn't make us feel the march of 25-years and chase scenes by skateboard made me excited everytime I see this movie. There was incredible standing ovation and I could feel the movie is really great!
There were child who saw this film for the first time and also fans who saw more than ten times like me. Nevertheless we could laugh at same scenes = sharing fun in 25 years, which made me think the movie is fantastic. On the other hand, I wondered if there will be similar movie in the future in 25 years that a lot of people love.
25 years ago, there are few who imagined to see this film 25 years later on big screens again. Even I couldn't imagine I would see this 25th anniversary screening in US when I saw part 3 when I was elementary school student.
Next will be 30th anniversary event in 2015 that is the stage for part 2!!

何周年、何十周年・・・
世の中にはいろんな記念日があります。
今日はある映画の25周年記念の上映会に行ってきました。その映画は自分が初めて映画館で見たハリウッド映画(実際自分が見たのはパート3ですが・・・)でもある「BACK TO THE FUTURE」。全米各地で今日と月曜だけの2日限定上映。
劇場に行くとパート1でジェニファーを演じたクローディア・ウェルズも来場し、大歓声の中、映画は始まりました。上映中も25年の流れを感じさせない映像、ストーリー展開、変わらず笑えるギャグ、そして何度見てもスッキリするスケート・ボードによるチェース・シーン。上映終了後の拍手もひときわ大きく、久々に映画を楽しいと思えた1日でした。
客の中には初めてこの映画を見たという子供がいて、自分のように十回以上見ている人もいたが、同じ場面で笑える＝25年経っても同じ笑いを共有できる、映画ってやっぱりすごいなと思うと同時に、ここ数年内に公開された映画で同じように25年後の未来にこんなに多くのファンに愛される映画がどれだけあるのだろうか？とも思った。
25年前にこの映画を25年後に映画館で見ると思っていた人が一体どれだけいたかわからない。自分も小学生の頃、パート3を映画館で見たときに、2010年にまさかアメリカでパート1の25周年上映を見るとは思っていなかった。
さぁ、次はパート2の舞台でもある2015年＝30周年のイベントだ！
