Yesterday, the most popular and the most selling Japanese artist, B'z, had a live at Club NOKIA in downtown Los Angeles as a final of North American tour. They were streaming the live for worldwide through Internet. The viewer hit over 50,000 and the total number went over 200,000.
The guitarist TAK. Matsumoto won Grammy last year and this tour made it, I guess. They also have a secret live in Los Angeles again in August with Linkin Park. Therefore I assume B'z, the king of J-Pop, finally debuts in USA and my iPod will keep running B'z songs only for a while.
It became what a fantastic era it is. Decade ago, we needed to buy expensive tickets and visit the venue or we had to wait for some months before we buy an expensive DVD, those were our only choice. However, we can enjoy the live online for free wherever we are all over the world these days.
Besides online, it is getting common that we enjoy the live in real-time at movie theaters even though it is paid event. Also it is possible to enjoy the 3D live without glasses using special screen as Miku Hatsune does. So if we could combine these technologies, it will soon come true that we enjoy the virtual live worldwide in a few years.
In October 2011, another J-pop musician, Dreams Come True will have North American tour, I wish Mr. Children, one of my favorites, will have North American tour even in virtual 3D live...
