Last day, I went to the airport waking up at 4am. I took a flight departing at 6am back to Los Angeles. Even though it was on New Year's Day and also very early morning, it was full. It arrived at LA at 10am. Usually I took subway but this time I tried buses to return to my house.
The theme of this trip is different from usual year-crossing driving trip and it limited my range of visiting due to train and bus travel but I could still enjoy the view from the window of the trains and buses.
In term of long distance train in US, it was the first time in 13 years after I rode on the one from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Both Boston - Baltimore long distance train and Boston - Salem suburban train were fan riding. Also the subway in Boston, which is told the oldest subway in US, satisfied me a lot, which will fit another theme of this trip, feeling the history of genesis of US.
There were a lot of "CLOSED" on this trip... it started with State Capitol of Massachusetts in Boston, museums in Salem, restaurant in Baltimore and Rodin Museum in Philadelphia. It's a kind of storm of CLOSED. I believe such happenings can be laughed in a few years.
I said I had visited most places can be reached from LA by car and next year-crossing trip would be by airplane and it came true actually. Where I should go for next one? Will it be foreign country? Who knows?
