This morning I woked up at 10am a bit later than usual. My body was exhausted and felt dizzy a bit. I headed to Notre-Dame first. I bought the ticket for tonight at the same time and entered into the cathedral. Basically most churches don't request entree fee but this one charged $5.

However once you entered, you realize it was worth more than $5. The interior was really gorgeous and also had somehing noble where Celine Dion selected this location for her wedding. The turquoise blue of ceiling seemed the biggest reason but there is no word than "wonderful".

Next, I visited City Hall but the tour was discontined. Then I went to Mary Queen of the World Cathedral. I imagined small building since it was 1/4 size replica of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican. However it was quite a big and I tried to revived my memory of St. Peter's Basilica but couldn't make it since it was more than 10 years ago.

I went to buffet style restaurant introduced on the guide book for a lunch. On the way, I found Hakata Ramen sign-board and it really strongly appealed me. After the long considerataion, I went to buffet. The ice cream was so delicious.

Then I went to one of the highest educational institution of Canada, McGill University. Their buildings looked like they came from Holy Potter world and completely different from the ones in Japan. Also they were different from Harvard, the highest educational institution of the world. If it comes to the building, probably McGill is #1 university in the world...

Since I bought a day-pass, I used public transportations a lot. Visiting Olympic Park, I found the highest leaning tower, Montreal Tower where the Olympic games took place in 1976 and a lot of people gathered there, complex sports facility. There were still Olympic rings left and I worried about the copyright problem...

Then I came back to Old City since the time of night show at Notre-Dame got closer. I found LOVE sculpture near Notre-Dame! However I thought the sculpture should be put at better place since it located at a kind of deserted street.

The night show at Notre-Dame was not as good as expected. The show was looking back the history of Montreal but $10 was expensive for that content. If I have to pay $10, I should use it to see the movie...

At the end, I went to Biosphere. It closed already but I had to go this place using same name with Biosphere 2 in Arizona and it was round!

Thinking about dinner, it hit me Hakata Ramen I saw during daytime. Using day-pass, I went to the restaurant. I ordered Char Siu Men (barbecued pork slice noodle) and shrimp tempura. The pork meat was so soft and noodle was also good.

I got a lot of business calls today during daytime and it was like a business trip rather than vacation.

今朝は少し遅めの10時起き。体の疲労がたまりにたまって頭がボーっとする。とりあえず、ノートルダム大聖堂へと向かった。夜のショーのチケットも同時に購入し、いざ内部へ。

世界中にある教会は基本的にほぼ入場無料なのだが、ここは$5の料金がかかる。しかし内部に入ってみると$5以上の価値があることに気づく。さすがセリーヌ・ディオンが結婚式を挙げただけのことはあって、内装がかなり豪華でありながら品もある。青緑色の天井が多分その最大の原因だと思われるが、素晴らしいの一言に尽きる。

ノートルダムの次は市庁舎のツアーへと向かうがツアーは廃止されていた・・・。その後、世界の女王マリア大聖堂という仰々しい名前の教会へ。バチカン市国のサン・ピエトロ大聖堂の4分の1サイズのレプリカだというので、小さめの教会を想像していたが、かなりの大きさで、本国の大聖堂はそんなにも大きかったっけ？と思い返してみたが、何せ10年以上も前の話で覚えていない・・・。

昼食は歩き方に載っていたバイキング形式のお店へ。しかしその途中、HAKATA RAMENの看板が見え、非常に悩むも、最終的にはバイキングへ。ここのアイスクリームが美味かった。

次はカナダの最高学府、マギル大学へ。建物がハリポタの世界で、日本の最高学府とは大違い。だからといって世界の最高学府とも呼ばれるハーバードとも違う。外観だけならマギル大学が世界一かもしれない・・・。

1日券を購入したので、使いまくる。続いてオリンピック公園へ！斜塔としては世界最高の高さを誇るモントリオール・タワーを中心とした1976年の五輪開催地ということで、今も複合スポーツ施設として現役らしく、スポーツマンらしい人々がたくさん戯れていた。五輪のマークも残っていて、商標権は問題ないのか？などと無駄な心配が頭をよぎった・・・。

そろそろ時間ということで旧市街へ戻り、今まで歩いていない場所を歩きながらノートルダムへと向かった。途中LOVEサインを発見！しかしこんな味気のない飾り方をされてはサインも悲しいだろう・・・。
夜のノートルダムのショーは正直、いまいち。ここモントリオールのノートルダム大聖堂の歴史を振り返るという内容だったのだが、これで$10は高い。同じ$10を払うなら映画を見たい！という内容でした・・・。

そして残りの気力を振り絞ってバイオスフィアへ向かった。当然閉館しているのだが、アリゾナ州で見たバイオスフィア2と同じ名前を使っているだけに見ないで帰るわけには行かなかった。うん、丸い。

夕食をどうしようか悩んでいると昼間の博多ラーメンがどうしても食べたくなり、1日券もあることだし、お店へ。チャーシュー麺と海老天を頼んだ。チャーシューがメチャメチャ柔らかく、麺も美味しかった。

しかし今日は昼間から仕事の電話ばかりで、休暇なのか出張なのかよくわからない1日だった。
