The day before yesterday, it was the best day since I returned to USA. The reason I thought that was I met two Hollywood stars in one day.

First of them was Kevin Bacon. I'm his big fun since I saw "Murder in the First", he is also in "Apollo 13", "Trapped", "Mystic River".
He is a world famous supporting actor, and I think he is one of the best when he plays a role of strange and mysterious.

It was due to my room-mate to meet such a great man! One of my room-mates do an assistant of photographer and he couldn't go to assist that day, then I did it.
This was photo session for Japanese movie magazines to advertise his latest movie "Where The Truth Lies?".
It was taken in luxury hotel, Four Seasons that is one of the most famous hotel chain. His manager came to the room to confirm how and where we gonna shoot before actual photo-taking, which was something made me feel I was in Hollywood. We prepared for the photo-taking for one hour and he came to the room 5 minutes behind schedule. It finished in 10 minutes, but I was in same space within such a 1 meter distance!!

His performance was so aesthetic and his aura was also aesthetic. He produced another atmosphere that is different from leading actors such as Keanu and DiCaprio. Anyway, I'd like to appreciate for my room-mate!!

一昨日、11日は渡米2年目最高に嬉しい一日になりました。というのも一日のうちに二人ものハリウッド・スターと接近することができたからです。

一人目はケビン・ベーコン。ビデオで「告発」を見て以来のファンで、その後も「アポロ13」、「コール」、「ミスティック・リバー」と活躍している。
世界に名だたる名脇役で、一癖ある役を演じさせたら彼の右に出るものはいないかもしれない・・・。

そんな彼と会えたのは、ルームメートのおかげ。2人いるルームメートの1人がカメラマンのアシスタントをしていて、ルームメートがいけないため、自分が急遽代役を引き受けた。
この仕事は「秘密のかけら」という彼の最新作のPRのために、日本の映画誌向けの写真撮影という設定。
撮影場所は高級ホテルとして世界に名を知られたフォー・シーズンズ・ホテル。実際の撮影前にマネージャーがやってきて、どの場所でどのような角度で撮るのかを事前に確認し(ハリウッドの現実を垣間見れた気がした・・・)、機材を準備しながら、待つこと1時間(部屋はスイートではなく、普通の部屋だった・・・なぜ？)。約束の時間から5分ほど遅れて、彼が部屋へ。撮影は10分程度で終わってしまったが、1mくらいの超至近距離で一緒の空間にいたという嘘のような本当の話。

演技も渋いが、オーラも渋い。今まで見てきた主役(キアヌやディカプリオ)のオーラとは異なる種類のオーラを醸し出していた。
なにはともあれ、ルームメートよ、サンクス!!
