6th day, all the team finished their first matches and 2nd match began. The first one was Germany vs Poland. For Germany, winning means that they will goes to final stage while for Poland, lose-game means that they'll have no chance to go to final stage.

German captain Ballck came back to the pitch, and Germany controled the mid-field completely. Poland counterattacked occasionally, but from the beginning to the end, Germany dominated the game. However, they couldn't get goals after 1st and 2nd half finished. Neuville got a goal in stoppage time, and Germany won with the score 1-0!!

Actually, it was one-sided game but also exciting game. Ballack doesn't have beautiful tricks or technique but he made it better the ball distribution to both side, and he also gave correct passes to forward from the back of mid-field, which made German attack better. He also made German defense safe with cutting enemy's ball at mid-field, then there was no dangerous scene for German defense today.

大会6日目。ようやくグループ･リーグも各チーム1試合目を終え、2試合目が始まった。その最初の試合であるドイツvsポーランド。ドイツは勝てば決勝トーナメントがほぼ確実、そして対するポーランドは負ければグループリーグ敗退がほぼ決定する試合。

ドイツの主将バラックが復帰し、ドイツが完全に中盤を支配。たまにカウンターから攻撃されるものの、最初から最後までほぼ一方的な試合展開。それでも得点が入らず。前後半90分を終えてもスコアレス。しかしロスタイムにノイビルがスライディング･シュートを決め、1-0で勝利!!
試合のハイライト (ドイツ vs ポーランド)
本当に一方的な試合だったが、最後の最後までハラハラさせられた試合だった。華麗なテクニックは持たないものの、バラックが中盤に入ったことで、左右両方へのボール分配が良くなり、さらにボランチのポジションからの前線への正確なフィードも健在で、攻撃のリズムが良くなっただけでなく、中盤で相手ボールを奪うことで、ディフェンスへの負荷も減り、今日のドイツ・ディフェンス陣に関しては危険なシーンは"0"だった。
