What I was glad personally was the winning Oscar by Clint Eastwood. As I wrote before, he is the second best director for me, and also the best actor in his age, and my senior as LACC student; therefore, what he got a Oscar made me happy.
Besides, his work got other Oscars in Best Picture, Best Lead Actress, and Best Supporting Actor, It can be possible to say that this time "Million Dollar Baby" conquer the Academy Awards.
Last year, his work, "Mystic River" also has a great influence on 76th Academy Awards. It missed getting Oscar in Best Picture and Best Director, however it got Oscars in Best Lead Actor and Best Supporting Actor. If there wasn't "Lord of the Ring =Return of the King=", maybe Million got Oscars in both of Picture and Director.
Thinking this, he might make great achievements wiht the honor of winning Best Director and Best Supporting Actor in two successive years. Actually, there was "Lord of the Ring =Return of the King=", which made new records. That is the difficulty to get Oscars in succession.

However, it is possible to get nominated in 78th Academy Awards again. I'd like to finish wishing it come true.

さて、ここで個人的に嬉しかったのが、クリント・イーストウッドの監督賞受賞です。以前の記事にも書いたように、彼は私の中で二番目に尊敬する監督であり、俳優としても彼の世代ではダントツに好きな俳優であり、かつLACCの先輩でもあります。その彼が今回オスカーを手にしたのことが非常に嬉しいです。
しかも、作品、主演女優、そして助演男優部門においてもオスカーを獲得し、今回のアカデミー賞は「ミリオン・ダラー・ベイビー」が制したといっても過言ではないのでしょうか？
そして、昨年度76回目のアカデミー賞も、実は彼の作品である「ミスティック・リバー」が非常に大きな影響力を持っていました。作品賞と監督賞は逃したものの、主演男優と助演男優でオスカーを獲得し、「ロード・オブ・ザ・リング〜王の帰還〜」という作品がなければ、おそらく作品賞、監督賞ともに獲得していただろうと思われる作品でした。
そう考えると二年連続で作品、監督、助演男優を獲得するというアカデミー賞史上異例の偉業を成し遂げていたかもしれないわけです。とはいえ、実際に「ロード・オブ・ザ・リング〜王の帰還〜」は存在し、多くの記録を大きく塗り替えてしまったわけで、その辺りが連続でオスカーを獲得することの難しさなのかもしれません。

とはいえ、来年78回目のアカデミー賞に彼の作品が再びノミネートされる可能性もあり、その偉業達成が実現されることを願いつつ、今回は終わりにしたいと思います。
